- 4 lbs beef shoulder
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the beef shoulder and cut it into large chunks.
- In your slow cooker, combine beef chunks with orange juice, lime juice, garlic, onion, cumin, oregano, chili powder, bay leaves, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4–5 hours until tender.
- Remove beef and shred it using two forks.
- For added texture, broil shredded beef on a baking sheet for 5–8 minutes until crispy.
