  • 2 large plum tomatoes (halved)
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions

  1. In a medium pot, cover the árbol chiles with water and bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat, cover, and let the chiles soak for 10 minutes until softened.
  3. Transfer the softened chiles to a blender using a slotted spoon; add ¾ cup fresh water, tomatoes, garlic, and salt.
