Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 oz wide egg noodles
- 2 cups sour cream
- 3 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 white onion, finely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook egg noodles until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with chopped onion until no longer pink; drain excess fat. Stir in garlic salt and marinara sauce; simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream and softened cream cheese until smooth.
- In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half the noodles, cream mixture, half the meat sauce, the remaining noodles, and the rest of the meat sauce. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 30 minutes; then remove foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
