Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 pound linguine pasta
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from heat and cover.
  3. Cook linguine in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water before draining.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter, sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds, then add chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth; adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Toss drained linguine into the sauce mixture until evenly coated.
  7. Slice seared chicken and serve over the pasta; garnish with parsley, basil, and additional Parmesan as desired.
