  • 2 tsp. lemon zest
  • 2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 lb. pasta (bucatini, spaghetti, fettuccine)
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped yellow onion
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped fresh parsley (plus more for garnish)
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon zest plus 3 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until just shy of al dente; reserve 1 cup of cooking water before draining.
  2. Sauté seasoned chicken in olive oil over medium heat until cooked through; set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, cook onions and garlic until softened, then add heavy cream and broth; simmer until thickened.
  4. Stir in lemon juice, zest, parsley, and Parmesan cheese to the sauce.
  5. Combine cooked pasta with sauce and reserved pasta water; toss to coat.
  6. Serve sliced chicken on top and garnish as desired.
