  • 16 ounces penne pasta
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup Italian style bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus more as needed)
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • Chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  2. Coat chicken cutlets in olive oil and dredge in a breadcrumb-parmesan mixture.
  3. Sauté chicken in a skillet until golden brown on both sides.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic before adding flour to make a roux.
  5. Gradually whisk in heavy cream and chicken broth; stir in parmesan until melted.
  6. Combine cooked pasta with sauce and serve topped with crispy chicken.
