  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 cup jasmine or basmati rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 jalapeño (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp sour cream
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and season steak strips with salt and spices. Cook until browned (5-7 minutes) and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, melt butter and toast the rice for 2 minutes. Add beef broth and seasonings, bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes until tender.
  3. Stir in cheeses and cream until melted and creamy.
  4. Combine the cooked steak with the cheesy rice mixture.
  5. Serve topped with cilantro, jalapeños, sour cream, and diced tomatoes.
