  • 2.25 pounds beef spare ribs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice apple vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F.
  2. Score the membrane on the back of the ribs.
  3. Mix dry rub ingredients and coat ribs generously.
  4. Place ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil and cover tightly.
  5. Bake for 2 to 2.5 hours until tender.
  6. Prepare Sticky Asian Sauce by simmering all sauce ingredients in a saucepan.
  7. Remove foil and broil ribs with sauce for 4-6 minutes until caramelized.
  8. Serve garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
