  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. If using shell-on shrimp, peel and devein them.
  2. Allow shrimp to warm at room temperature for even seasoning.
  3. Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels; mix blackening spices in a bowl.
  5. Toss shrimp with melted butter and coat evenly with seasoning.
  6. Add butter to the skillet and cook shrimp in one layer until pink and opaque (about 4-5 minutes total).
