  • 1 1/2 pounds flank steak
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 jalapeno (seeded and diced)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cilantro, olive oil, soy sauce, orange juice, lime juice, garlic, jalapeno, cumin, and black pepper. Reserve 1/2 cup of this marinade for serving.
  2. Place the flank steak in a Ziploc bag or large bowl and pour the remaining marinade over it. Marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and pat the steak dry. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill the steak for about 6 minutes per side until desired doneness is achieved. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  5. Serve with reserved marinade as a dipping sauce or drizzle over tacos or burritos.
