  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries (pitted)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the pre-made pie crust in a baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cherries with half of the sugar and set aside.
  4. In another bowl, whisk eggs and mix in milk, heavy cream, remaining sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, cornstarch, and salt until smooth.
  5. Pour cherry mixture into the crust followed by the custard mixture.
  6. Bake for about 45 minutes or until set and lightly golden.
  7. Cool before slicing; serve warm or chilled.
