  • 2 lb. baby back beef ribs
  • 2 tbsp. dried minced onion
  • 2 tsp. dried thyme
  • 2 tsp. ground allspice
  • 2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup homemade ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 2 tbsp. raw honey
  • 1 tsp. lime zest
  • 2 tbsp. fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp. coconut aminos
  • 1 tsp. fresh ginger (minced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Rub the beef ribs with 3/4 of the jerk seasoning mixture until evenly coated.
  3. Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil and bake on a baking sheet for 2 to 3 hours until tender.
  4. In a small saucepan, mix the BBQ sauce ingredients along with the remaining jerk seasoning; simmer for 9 to 10 minutes until thickened.
  5. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  6. Generously baste the baked ribs with BBQ sauce before grilling.
  7. Grill for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with more sauce every few minutes until caramelized.
