Ingredients
- 2 lb. baby back beef ribs
- 2 tbsp. dried minced onion
- 2 tsp. dried thyme
- 2 tsp. ground allspice
- 2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup homemade ketchup
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 2 tbsp. raw honey
- 1 tsp. lime zest
- 2 tbsp. fresh lime juice
- 2 tbsp. coconut aminos
- 1 tsp. fresh ginger (minced)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Rub the beef ribs with 3/4 of the jerk seasoning mixture until evenly coated.
- Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil and bake on a baking sheet for 2 to 3 hours until tender.
- In a small saucepan, mix the BBQ sauce ingredients along with the remaining jerk seasoning; simmer for 9 to 10 minutes until thickened.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Generously baste the baked ribs with BBQ sauce before grilling.
- Grill for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with more sauce every few minutes until caramelized.
