Ingredients
- 500 ml water
- 500 ml white vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp salt
- 7–8 medium cucumbers
- 2–3 sprigs dill
- 1 tbsp chili flakes
- 1 tbsp peppercorns (variety of black, white, pink)
- 7–8 cloves garlic
Instructions
- Wash cucumbers and cut them into spears or slices.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine water, white vinegar, sugar, honey, and salt; stir until mixed.
- Add dill, chili flakes, peppercorns, and garlic to the brine mixture.
- Place cucumber pieces in a clean jar and pour the brine over them until fully submerged; seal tightly.
- Preheat your smoking device according to instructions; smoke the sealed jar for approximately 60 minutes.
- Allow the pickles to cool before refrigerating; let them sit for at least one day for optimal flavor.
