  • Cedar planks for grilling
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons stone ground Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme)

Instructions

  1. Soak cedar planks in hot salted water for at least 2 hours.
  2. Prepare marinade by whisking together salt, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, and lemon zest.
  3. Brush the marinade onto the skin-side of the salmon fillets and let rest for 15 minutes (or refrigerate for up to 4 hours).

  5. Place marinated salmon on soaked cedar planks and grill for about 12–15 minutes until internal temperature reaches 130–135°F.
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
